San Francisco-based cinematographer and colorist Chris Tipton-King’s work for clients such as SFMOMA, Cisco, Apple, SurveyMonkey, GE, PBS, Sports Illustrated, and San Francisco General Hospital can be seen on broadcast television, the web, museums, and in film festivals across the globe. His diverse experience across narrative, documentary and commercial formats is united by a cinematic lighting sensibility and technical mastery cultivated over fourteen years of experience and study, including an MFA in Cinema from San Francisco State University. He also teaches filmmaking and is available as an independent freelancer, or as part of his end-to-end production company, 32K Productions.
His favorite movie is Hedwig and the Angry Inch, his favorite colors are red & black, and he won't stop talking about the benefits of electric cars. When he isn't busy pointing a camera at something, he can be spotted dancing like nobody is watching at EDM concerts, playing Pokémon Go, or out enjoying the elusive San Francisco sun.
